After graduating in Modern languages and Literatures in the English-German variant, Ana Cordeiro soon realized that this was not her destiny. A travelled person, it was in the many cosmopolitan cities that she visited that she came to feel an increasing call for creativity. Determined, she took a course in Interior Decoration and Architecture in 1994. In 1996, she attended the Ceromex Fair where she presented a collection of lamps designed by her, which opened the first door to the world of decoration. Slowly, she began to create a signature. One day, while walking in Chiado, she tripped over an old store in a very degraded state but whose potential she recognized immediately. It was love at first sight. In what some interpreted as madness, Ana sow the future. She bought the space and rolled up her sleeves. She scraped cabinets, replaced hydraulic tiles, designed ceiling lamps, created a mezzanine, and on December 10th 1999. 'Prego Sem Estopa' was born in the ground-floor of number 36 of Calçada do Combro, a Space that quickly became a landmark of good taste. The projects of decoration and interior architecture grew and with them grew the need to get a studio where she could conveniently welcome clients, outline theprojects and store building materials. So, today, it is on the first floor of that some property that not only interior design projects for public and private projects are born, but also those of recovery of old spaces. The originolity, dynamism and professionalism in the careful selection of her designs have marked the difference in her work, which makes her worthy of compliments, both foreign and notional. In January 2012, Ana Cordeiro was invited to internationalise her brand at 'Maison et Object', one of the most prestigious fairs in Paris, where she presented a collection in a reinvented vintage style, consisting of furniture designed by her, unique lamps, clean lines and o colour palette marked by blue, pink, yellow and green. in a burst of soft colours that print on the white tone background a life and joy, very pleasing to the eye.
